Our Mission
At SEED Health Solutions, our mission is to design and strengthen culturally responsive mental health and healthcare systems that meet the needs of Latino communities.
We partner with organizations, nonprofits, schools, and healthcare systems to develop bilingual and bicultural programs that close gaps in access, trust, and quality of care. Through strategy, training, and collaboration, we empower professionals and institutions to provide equitable, compassionate, and evidence-based support. Our mission is rooted in community and driven by impact: to build sustainable solutions that advance mental health equity and empower Latino families to thrive.

The Challenge:
A Critical Gap in Mental Health Access
In California, there are about 40 million people and nearly 16 million residents identify as Latino, yet only 36% of Latino adults who need mental health care receive it. Within Los Angeles County, about 425,000 Latino Medi-Cal members require mental health services, but only 45,000 are served, leaving nearly 380,000 people without care. These disparities stem from language barriers, cultural stigma, workforce shortages, and limited system capacity.
Consequences:
-
Decreased academic achievement and higher dropout rates
-
Elevated risk of substance use, depression, and suicide
-
Increased hospitalization and homelessness
-
Rising public costs and intergenerational trauma
The solution starts with culturally responsive systems that see, hear, and serve every family.
